Rebecca Colett
CEO
Rebecca Colett is the visionary CEO and co-founder of Calyxeum, a pioneering fully vertical cannabis company based in Detroit. With a rich educational background and extensive experience in economic development, technology, and business strategy, Rebecca has dedicated her career to fostering innovation and creating opportunities in underserved communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Florida A&M University (FAMU), an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a master’s degree in Supply Chain Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Since the pandemic in 2020, Rebecca has spearheaded the development of a multi-state social equity business incubator program, providing resources, mentorship, and support to entrepreneurs from marginalized backgrounds entering the cannabis industry. Her expertise in leveraging technology to drive growth and her commitment to social equity have made her a leading voice in the field.
At Calyxeum, Rebecca combines her skills and passion to address systemic inequities caused by the War on Drugs, using cannabis as a catalyst for community wellness, education, and empowerment. Through her leadership, Rebecca continues to set new standards for equity, innovation, and inclusion in the cannabis space.
LaToyia Rucker
COO
LaToyia R. Rucker is an experienced entrepreneur, educator, master gardener, and proud native of Detroit. She has been featured on Detroit’s WJR and NPR’s Stateside, sharing her industry expertise and experiences as a female leader in cannabis.
As one of the first women to co-own a medical marijuana licensing clinic and a featured speaker at Michigan’s first Cannabis Expo, LaToyia has been a trailblazer in the industry. In 2014, she was selected for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and remains an active alumni member, later participating in Bloomberg LP’s 10,000 Small Businesses Coaching Session in 2017.
In addition to her work in cannabis, LaToyia is the founder and owner of Kid Fit Childcare Centers with two metro Detroit locations, and she holds a B.S. in Biology from Tuskegee University, a Master’s Degree in Education from Wayne State University, and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Capella University.
